Mormon Tabernacle Choir

Last night, my parents took Bill and I up to Denver to go to a MTC Concert. It was at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. It's an outdoor amphitheatre in between these huge big red rocks...hence the name :) It was sooooooo AWESOME!! Just being outside with beautiful scenery all around and listening to their beautiful music!! The govenors of CO and WY were there and so was the Prophet!! We couldn't believe it!! It was so neat to see him :) It was a great night!! I'm so thankful to my parents for taking us with them...it was lots of fun.

There were these huge rocks on either side of the Amphitheatre

The Denver skyline

We were just a little bit past the middle but we were centered on the stage so that was nice

See the beautiful valley behind us

This is looking up at the Amphitheatre from the parking lot.

Fun for one

It's amazing what little things can entertain kids for hours...especially when water is involved:) Liam had so much fun sitting in this tub and playing all by himself. And then when we came in he was hungry of course and went straight to the bowl of M&Ms :)

Dogsitting

My parents recently got a 6-month old chocolate lab. He is absolutely adorable and a really good dog. This past week we got to "dogsit" while my parents went on a youth trek up to Wyoming with the Stake. The first night they brought him over was total chaos. Lucy and their dog Cooper played so hard and they didn't stop playing until bedtime. They ran circles through the house, jumped on furniture, ran up and down the stairs, rolled around on the floor together biting at eachother...it was crazy!! I was up with Cooper 3 times the first night letting him out to go potty. I think he was just out of sorts cause he's good all night for my parents :) Then the second day was better. The dogs still played but they also took breaks and napped. Today is the third day and Cooper fits in perfectly. The dogs have all mellowed out and are just normal. My parents come home tomorrow and I know my dogs, especially Lucy will really miss her buddy Cooper. Thankfully he is a great dog and so easy to take care of :) We had a lot of fun watching him!!

Party time!!

We got home from the water park around 5pm and went over to my parents house where they had a wonderful dinner ready!! It was Sarah's favorite--breaded porkchops with mashed potatoes, gravy, mac-n-cheese and a salad. It tasted soooo good!! After dinner we opened presents and had a yummy strawberry cake!! It was a great day and Sarah had so much fun and loved all her presents...especially her bike!! :)

Pirate's Cove

Since Sarah's birthday was on a Sunday this year, we celebrated on Saturday. She wanted to go to Pirate's Cove, a water park in Denver, so we left at 9am to be there by 10:30 when they opened. We ended up getting there at 11:30 because of construction and traffic :( But it was a beautiful day and the kids had a blast!! We all got sunburnt despite 3 applications of sunscreen throughout the day :) It's a really fun place and I'm sure we'll be up there at least 10 more times before the summers over :)
